Community Solar subscriptions now available
TCEC Community Solar subscriptions are now available to the cooperative’s residential members for $340 each. Members can purchase subscriptions based on their average annual energy use. As people driving by the cooperative’s new headquarters in Hooker on U.S. Highway 54 can see, TCEC has installed a solar array with 3,840 panels for the benefit of its members. TCEC was the first utility in Oklahoma to offer a community solar option.
Community solar is a simple, affordable option for renewable energy. It allows many members to share the benefits of one local installation. Buyers don't have to worry about installation, insurance and maintenance costs while making a hedge against future energy prices. This project is good for the cooperative's members as a whole because it reduces power costs for peak demand from the cooperative's power suppliers.
To enroll or learn more, members can visit www.tcec.coop and click on the Solar tab. Return a completed community solar agreement with payment to get started. Anyone with questions regarding community solar or any other aspect of their TCEC service can contact TCEC at 580.652.2418 or email@example.com.
