Concern for Community shines in Co-op Cares Food Drive - Beaver Presentation

During its annual Co-op Cares Food Drive, TCEC employees raised funds and the cooperative matched them to raise $3,140. Four food pantries in local communities will each receive $785 thanks to the generosity of the cooperative and its employees.

The donation was delivered to the Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry in Beaver on January 8. The pantry survives solely on donations.

“We are thankful for donations which helps serve all of Beaver County,” said David Glascock, coordinator. “The Ministerial Alliance recently assisted 61 families with food boxes during the Christmas holidays. Anyone in Beaver County needing assistance can contact any church pastor.”

Other local food pantries receiving funds this year are in Beaver and Boise City, Oklahoma, as well as Elkhart, Kansas.

“Concern for Community is one of our seven cooperative principles,” Chris Purdy, vice president of Member Solutions at TCEC, said. “Our employees gave generously this year to help those in need.”
