Give the gift of renewable energy to nonprofit organizations

TCEC Community Solar is now available for nonprofit organizations. Community solar is sometimes called ‘shared’ or ‘cooperative’ solar because many members share the benefits of one local solar array, which is located near TCEC’s office in Hooker. To participate in the program and benefit from the array, members do not have to install and maintain solar panels on their roof or property. Community solar is a simple, more affordable way for members to participate in renewable energy.

Nonprofits can subscribe to a panel, or more if they choose, and receive credit on their bill for the energy produced by their share of the array. Interested members can gift a solar subscription for $326 each in the name of a nonprofit within the TCEC service area. The gift of solar allows members to share the benefits of renewable energy with nonprofits.

Interested nonprofits can contact TCEC to subscribe to Community Solar. Members wanting to gift solar should also contact TCEC to purchase a subscription in the name of the nonprofit.

The cost is a one-time subscription fee of $326 per panel, nonprofit members can purchase multiple panels up to 80 percent of the nonprofit’s annual energy use. Do the right thing in more than one way through the gift of renewable energy. You are giving back to the community by gifting solar to a nonprofit. The subscription keeps on giving through 2041.
