Members choose new trustee for TCEC District #1

District #1 members gathered in Goodwell at the OPSU Student Union Ballroom on October 20 to take part in an advisory election for the district’s vacancy on TCEC’s Board of Trustees. During the special meeting, members cast ballots for their choice of representative. Randy Schreiner earned the majority of the votes.

In accordance with TCEC’s Bylaws, during their monthly meeting on October 28, the board appointed Schreiner as the trustee to represent District #1 for the remainder of the vacant term, which expires in September 2017.

“Democratic member involvement is the core of the cooperative business model,” said TCEC Chief Executive Officer Zac Perkins. “It is always a privilege to watch it in action.”

TCEC has nine board districts with an elected residential trustee representing the members of each. Trustees serve staggered three-year terms. Current TCEC trustees are as follows:

  • District 1: Randy Schreiner
  • District 2: Erwin Elms
  • District 3: Ronny White
  • District 4: C.J. Mouser
  • District 5: Joe Mayer
  • District 6: Larry Dunn
  • District 7: Shawn Martinez
  • District 8: Cletus Carter
  • District 9: Larry Hodges
