As of 9 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, some members have been without power going on ten days. About 50 homes and several hundred other services remain without power. More than 250 additional lineworkers from across Oklahoma and other states continue to work on TCEC’s restoration efforts. As we work to restore power through the coming week it will be necessary to take frequent, periodic outages, especially in the Balko to Elmwood areas.

“We have made great progress and are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel,” said CEO Zac Perkins.

To date, we have replaced about 1,200 of the roughly 1,900 damaged poles on our system. We are still hoping to meet our goal of restoring power to all residences by Friday, January 27. Crews are focused and continue to work as safely as possible to restore power to remaining residences.
