TCEC gains on storm repairs

Tuesday was a very productive day. Power restoration efforts reduced the outages to 2,700 from the highest of 17,000.

Twenty mutual aid and contractor crews in addition to TCEC crews continue restoration efforts despite weather. The number of destroyed and damaged poles has climbed to over 1,000.

Intermittent outages will continue as repairs are done on the system to safely restore power to other areas. Member support and kind words have been appreciated as restoration continues.

“We believe this is likely to be the 3rd largest storm in TCEC’s history.” said TCEC CEO Zac Perkins. “Storm Jupiter is the largest and the 2nd largest is the 1978 ice storm.”

TCEC will continue to post regular updates with videos and photos to its Facebook page during the storm repairs. To view them, go to: Like the page to stay informed.
