State of Oklahoma Citation of Recognition

TCEC received a Citation of Recognition for the efforts of the cooperative and its employees during Winter Storm Jupiter in January 2017. Oklahoma District 61 Representative Casey Murdock made the motion for the citation, which was signed by the Honorable Governor Mary Fallin. In the citation, Murdock made note of TCEC living up to its cooperative values as well as the long hours and personal risks of the employees following the devastation of the storm.

Co-ops help make recreation a reality

Residents in and near Boise City are closer to having a pool again thanks in part to help from two local cooperatives – Panhandle Telephone Cooperative, Inc. (PTCI) and Tri-County Electric Cooperative (TCEC). They came together to donate $5,000 toward a fund to complete Americans with Disabilities Act upgrades at the facility or the splash pad pump house and electrical control building.

TCEC District #2 Special Meeting for Advisory Election

Please take notice that on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at 6 p.m., District #2 of Tri-County Electric Cooperative will conduct a special meeting at the Boise City Senior Citizen’s Center, 216 NE First Street, Boise City, Oklahoma.

District #2 is currently vacant. The candidate filing period is from March 17 through March 27. Article IV in TCEC’s bylaws offers information on trustee qualifications and elections. View the bylaws.

Eighth Graders win free trip to Energy Camp

Four area eighth graders were awarded a free trip to the 2017 Energy Camp by TCEC on March 10 and 13. Twenty-three students from area schools applied and four were selected through an application process. The winners received an all-expense paid trip to Energy Camp at Red Rock Canyon in Hinton, Oklahoma.

Each of the winners were presented their award at a surprise school assembly. The delegates TCEC will send to Energy Camp are:

Zac Perkins has officially stepped into the position of TCEC Chief Executive Officer with the recent retirement of Jack Perkins. Zac has been the acting CEO since May 2016 leading TCEC through the challenges of the economy and fast-paced industry changes.
