Tri-County Electric District Meetings Scheduled for March
HOOKER, Okla. (Feb. 3, 2010) – Tri-County Electric members have a voice—and a vote—in cooperative matters. In March, the cooperative will hold meetings to elect trustees to represent members in Districts 2, 6 and 8. Cooperative members in each of these districts have an opportunity to vote for their trustee—or even run for the position of trustee themselves.
Interested candidates must declare their intention to run by filing for the office with the board secretary or Tri-County Electric’s CEO. Filing must be submitted during the appropriate periods for each district. Elected trustees serve a three-year term before they are up for re-election.
Members in districts holding elections will receive a direct meeting invitation by mail in early March. Meeting information for each district holding a meeting this year is as follows:

Location: Adams Community Building, 215 S 6th Street, Adams, Okla.

Candidate Filing Period: March 3 - 13
DISTRICT #8
Date: Thursday, March 25
Time: 7 p.m.
Location: Bethel Church of God, 1.5 miles North on Road 126 from Hwy 64, Floris, Okla.
Incumbent Candidate: Cletus Carter
Candidate Filing Period: March 5 - 15
